Signing Up for SOAR:
All entering students will enroll for their first semester of classes via the Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) program. All SOAR reservations are managed through the Center for the First-Year Experience. Please pay attention to the the different information for Freshmen, Transfer, and International (both Freshmen and Transfer). The SOAR website offers guidance for selecting a School/College, selecting a SOAR date, and the much more. If you have a specific question regarding SOAR, it's best to contact the SOAR program directly.
How Will I Get Help at SOAR?
Be sure to talk to a biological sciences specialist at SOAR. You can get answers to all kinds of questions about biology-related opportunities at UW–Madison and find out about the many different majors in the biological sciences. There will be a specialist available every day at SOAR. Our FAQ page can also help answer some of your initial questions about bioscience courses.
